Couples Therapy
All
relationships
go
through
changes
and
bumps
over
time.
Major
crises
such
as
infidelity,
loss,
or
lack
of
passion
shift
the
dynamics
of
the
relationship,
where
both
parties
need
to
adapt
or
risk
stagnation
and
possible
break-up.
Couples
Therapy
can
be
very
effective
in
helping
the
couple
move
forward
from
discord,
pain,
and
disappointment.
It
can
create
lasting
meaningful
change
in
the
relationship
as
both
of
you
start
to
discover
the
pockets of emotion and humanity that originally attracted you to your partner.
Emotionally
Focused
Couples
Therapy,
which
is
the
approach
that
I
use,
has
emerged
alongside
the
science
on
adult
attachment
and
bonding.
It
has
a
strong
research
background
and
a
90%
success
rate
for
couples
who
are
motivated for recovery.
In
this
therapy,
we
will
set
goals
that
are
unique
to
your
relationship
problem.
Our
overarching
goal
will
be
to
shift
your
negative
interactional
style
and
create
a
new,
more
positive
cycle
of
interaction.
We
work
towards
replacing
fear, dread, mistrust, and pain with a secure bond that re-establishes your trust in your partner.
